Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines: Noche De Communidad is the fifth and final event of Raíces Awareness Week, a weeklong series of events hosted by MEChA that is aimed at spreading awareness about the sociocultural and political background of our Latinx & Chicanx communities. The goal for this event is multipurpose; we want to strengthen connections and community across the different Latinx Organizations at UCSD, provide students with an opportunity to enjoy traditional Latinx foods and “antojitos,” support and uplift Latinx artists/artisans, and lastly provide students with the opportunity to engage with/learn about the different Latinx student orgs at UCSD.
