Our first GBM of the year introduces UCSD students to the anime club and our mission to engender a supportive atmosphere in which students are introduced to Japanese anime in a community setting and enjoy weekly social activities throughout the schoolyear. We will begin with an introductory presentation of the club and preview our activities for the schoolyear, including our annual Animefest convention that historically attracts over 1700 attendees to UCSD. Our first GBM is essential to publicizing our identity among the student body and how we can contribute to student life at UCSD through our frequent events and social atmosphere. It builds a sense of community between students and provides stress-relieving events for them to look forward to.
