SummerFest is UC San Diego’s signature Fall recruitment event, co-hosted by the four Greek councils: the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Council (PHC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). Open to all UCSD students, this annual event invites students to meet the diverse fraternities and sororities that shape the campus community and find a way to become involved on campus. SummerFest is more than just an introduction to Sorority and Fraternity Life (SFL); it’s an invitation to find a community that supports your identity, empowers your ambitions, and helps you thrive both inside and outside the classroom. At the SummerFest Event students will not only get a chance to meet all the chapters on campus, encouraged to do so in a gamification way using postcards and food for incentives. They will also be able to see be able to hear presentations about the unique qualities each of the four councils have then view performances from our National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) organizations. Some of the performances will include stepping, strolling, saluting, and cultural dances unique to the Black, Armenian, Latinx, APIDA, and/or Multicultural Greek experience here at UCSD.
