Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines: To allow 1st years and 1st year transfers to become better acclimated to college life through mingling with potential mentors who share similar interests and goals. Eventually mentees and mentors with similar goals and interests will be grouped together into “families.” Event will proceed with a short meeting about mentorship followed by a speed-dating like event where mentors will rotate to tables with mentees and make connections. Connects to our values of mentorship, inclusion, and campus relations.
