Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines: The 4-year planning workshop is to better help bioinformatics majors (especially freshmen) to plan out their schedules. We will go over how to select classes, 1st/2nd passes, prerequisites, how balance coursework with lab work, and how to switch majors. We will also be providing templates to help start off the planning process. The workshop is also a great space for bioinformatics students to socialize and plan classes with each other.
