This event aligns with A.S. funding guidelines because it provides an educational, and culturally enriching experience that is open to UCSD students. This event promotes cultural awareness of Taiwanese culture and community building by engaging students in Taiwanese tradition associated with the Lunar New Year. Board members will also share presentations on the cultural significance of tangyuan, supporting learning beyond the classroom. Providing food encourages participation and inclusivity, creating a welcoming and meaningful campus environment.
