Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines: The Chem-E-Car Mock Competition is meant to bring the Chem-E-Car engineering competition to the UCSD campus. This event is aimed towards underclassmen and students looking to gain more engineering project experience and give them an opportunity to apply their coursework knowledge into a timed engineering challenge. This will be an opportunity for students to gain wet lab experience, create a chemical battery from scratch using electrochemistry, and practice testing, calibration, and data analysis. This serves to bring the Chem-E-Car experience to other students, especially students interested in joining the team.
