USAPL Collegiate Nationals is the highest level of competitive powerlifting in the United States. Every year over 1000 competitors from colleges all over the US, come and compete on the national stage to try and become a national champion. Divided into various weight classes, men and women try and test their luck versus other competitors who in their respective weight classes, starting from 44kg (97lbs) to 140kg+ (308lbs), have worked tirelessly all year to try and make it to such a prestigious event. Less than 5% of all powerlifters will ever make it to this event. We were extremely fortunate to have had 17 members make it last year, with multiple placing top 3 in the nation! This year we're returning with 14 members with the hopes of bringing home multiple top 5 finishes! While we're very excited to represent the powerlifting culture at UCSD, we would be very appreciative of financial support as such an event entails many high costs for our athletes. While we are not looking for a fully funded trip, we would be very grateful if our registration, hotel, and air fare costs could be subsidized. Thank you for your consideration!
