Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines: Our session supports the funding guidelines of supporting zero-fee, student-led programming by providing accessible, classroom-style instruction in Carnatic classical music, an underrepresented yet globally significant art form. By funding this small, interactive session, this will allow us to underscore a niche cultural community while enriching UCSD’s campus with educational exposure to South Indian musical traditions.
