IS THE EVENT ON CAMPUS?
Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines
This event meets A.S. funding eligibility requirements as it is organized by a registered CSI student organization with principal membership composed primarily of UC San Diego undergraduate students. The program will take place on campus and will be open to all UC San Diego undergraduate students, as well as graduate students, faculty, and staff, ensuring accessibility and broad campus participation. Inside Humanitarian Crises: The Impact of Healthcare is an educational program that promotes student learning, professional development, and civic engagement by exposing attendees to real-world perspectives on global health and humanitarian response. Featuring healthcare practitioner Amanda Nasser, an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner at UC San Diego Health, the event provides students with insight into healthcare careers, global service pathways, and the societal impact of medical professionals in crisis settings. By offering an inclusive, educational experience that benefits the wider campus community, the event aligns with A.S.’s mission to support programming that enriches undergraduate engagement and intellectual dialogue.
