This event fits within A.S. funding guidelines because it is organized by a registered UCSD student organization and will take place on campus at Sun God Lawn, and it will be open to all UCSD undergraduate students and the broader campus community. The purpose of NAKztlán is to create a space where students can experience and appreciate cultural traditions through live music, food, and community gathering. Culture is one of the core pillars of our organization, and events like this allow us to celebrate and share cultural expression while creating an inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds can learn, connect, and build community. By hosting this event on campus, we aim to promote cultural awareness, student engagement, and a sense of belonging, which aligns with A.S. funding goals of supporting student-led programming that benefits the UCSD community. In addition, there hasn't been an event like this on the UCSD campus. With a variety of factors considered, this event will help promote unity and overall pride in ones culture
