According to UCSD funding guidance, student organization funds are intended to support events that benefit the student community and enhance campus life. Events that encourage social interaction and participation among students help contribute to a more connected and supportive campus environment. The Mix and Mingle event provides transfer students with an opportunity to socialize, build friendships, and engage in a welcoming campus community through activities such as mocktail making, music, and lawn games. By fostering connection and inclusion among transfer students, the event directly supports the mission of A.S. funding to enrich the extracurricular and social experiences of UCSD students.
