We are celebrating 端午節 duan wu jie a month early. Socials (Matt, Amanda, James) will create/present on what people do during this traditional chinese holiday, the story behind it, and then Segway into our activities. We will then serve zong zi (sticky rice dumplings) and have attendees fold paper boats. One of our goals this year as TASA was to incorporate more cultural events on top of our regular social events so the student body can have some educational takeaways and to feel more in touch with Taiwanese culture. Therefore, serving traditional taiwanese food would help share our culture, using groceries from 99 Ranch.
