Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines: We will get a panel of grad students to discuss their experiences in the field with attendees. They'll help with questions we prepare and specific questions from the audience. This event is targeted towards people not in a lab yet, students interested in graduate school, and students in the process of applying to grad school. This benefits the bioinformatics community at UCSD as it helps younger members get more involved in research and also helps the older members with their transition to graduate school.
