Please briefly describe why this event fits into the A.S funding guidelines: This will be the Video Game Development Club's first event of the 2026-2027 school year, in which we will introduce the club to incoming students and those interested in video game development. The event will inform attendees on the specifics of game development and its multidisciplinary nature. This includes, but is not limited to: art, programming, audio, and writing. The event will emphasize the welcoming nature of game development towards all majors, and that you can contribute no matter your skill level. After a presentation introducing our new board members, future events/projects, and what game development is, we will be opening the event floor for members to socialize. This will provide newcomers an opportunity to meet one another as well as meet currently existing members.
