Hack School 1: HTML & CSS
82
The actual attendance was 82 people. This is close to the expected attendance of 90. We believe that the difference may be attributed to scheduling conflicts/other personal circumstances among participants.

The purpose/goal of the workshop was to teach beginners about html/css basics and prepare them to build a full stack MERN app.
We would consider the event to be a success as the event attendance was close to our predicted, and event participants were following along with the instruction and also interacting with each other in group activities. Participants were also able to ask for help during group activity and Hack Squad were able to assist with any issues.
We would describe the food funded by AS as our most valuable resource. Our event took place late, ending at 8 PM, so being able to make sure that everyone was fed while they were participating in the workshop was extremely important.
There were some complications present in the workshop. There was some technical difficulty in live coding, pacing issues with git setup. Event hosts also forgot to start zoom recording at the start so some part of the educational portion is missing.
Some steps/Items of improvement would be to double check starter code activities more thoroughly and to remember to start the zoom recording.
We would make no changes to the marketing around this event.
