Bucket List + Bucket Hats

Attendance was higher than expected because we didn’t close the RSVP form in time and people probably brought a friend who didn’t fill it out.

The event was for people to socialize while they craft and create a bucket list for the year. That way people could come up with ideas together, give recommendations for things to do in the area/around campus, and write down their goals. The bucket hat activity offered the experience to customize their own attire, express themselves creatively, have fun, and craft something functional!
The event went well! People came up to get their patches ironed on and some mentioned that it was a fun activity. All the designs I saw were really cute.
A valuable resource would be the access to the projector and room speakers, because the music we played in the background contributed to the ambiance and comfortability of the room, and the funding for the items was very valuable as well to support the purpose of the event!
I think complication that arose was that the instructions provided were unclear to some, perhaps because there were two activities co-occurring and explained back to back. Additionally, some people weren’t able to get a hat, but they did hang out and partake in the bucket list part!
To improve for the next event, I think I’d check the RSVP form more frequently if it’s a limited capacity event, as well as practice the slides to someone who doesn’t know what they’re about, to make sure the information is well communicated and helpful.
I would not make any changes to the marketing around this event.
