WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OR GOAL OF THE EVENT?
The purpose of the GBM was to interact with prospective members and give them more details about RPL and its projects. During the GBM, the RPL lead and admin members presented slides about the work that RPL does and provided more information about the recruitment and onboarding process. During the event, the speakers primarily consisted of the RPL admin team (The president and all the VPs) and the technical leadership team for all the projects.

DO YOU CONSIDER THE EVENT TO HAVE BEEN A SUCCESS? WHY OR WHY NOT?
Yes, we consider the event to have been a success. It provided an opportunity for us to present an in-depth overview of our work and showcase our projects to prospective members. Additionally, we were able to have one-on-one conversations and show them our lab space, which we believe significantly enhanced their interest in joining RPL and contributed positively to our overall recruitment efforts.

WHAT WOULD YOU DESCRIBE AS YOUR MOST VALUABLE RESOURCE?
Our team is undoubtedly our most valuable asset. As a student-led organization, RPL thrives on the dedication and expertise of its members. We take great pride in the talent and commitment of our team and continuously seek opportunities to expand and strengthen it.

WHAT IF ANY COMPLICATIONS AROSE DURING THE EVENT?
Due to thorough planning and prior experience with hosting an event of this scale, we didn’t face any complications

WHAT STEPS OR ITEMS WOULD YOU IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT EVENT?
In the future, we would prefer to start the event earlier, rather than at 6 p.m. This would allow prospective students to spend more time at the mixer in our lab space before it gets too late in the evening.

WHAT ONLINE CHANGES WOULD YOU MAKE TO ADVERTISEMENTS OR PROMOTION?
We plan to increase the frequency of posts leading up to the event to ensure our target audience has ample time to learn about it and complete the registration process.
