IF THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN THE ESTIMATED AND ACTUAL ATTENDANCE NUMBERS, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY YOU THINK THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE. HOW CAN YOU DECREASE THE DIFFERENCE IN ATTENDANCE NUMBERS FOR FUTURE EVENTS? There is a difference between the estimate and actual attendance numbers, but we believe our attendance data is inaccurate because we did not strictly enforce the sign-in form. To reiterate, we plan to ensure each person will complete our sign-in form by making them complete it at the door upon arrival at the event. With more accurate data on the number of attendees, we will make more accurate estimates accordingly. We also plan to prompt our events through SASE social media channels as well as through each board members’ personally Instagram stories. Additionally, a valuable resource for promoting our event is asking other STEM clubs to repost our Instagram posts and publish our marketing in school newsletters.

The purpose of the event was to professionally prepare our members applying to internships and jobs by getting their resume reviewed by industry professionals from Northrup Grumman.

We consider the event to be a success because many of our members gained valuable information on how to write an essays as well as make connections with the professionals

The most valuable resource was the marketing promotion of Northrup Grumman professionals reviewing resumes.

WHAT STEPS OR ITEMS WOULD YOU IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT EVENT?
We want to heavily emphasize the importance of attendance tracking because not only does it help us understand the level of retention our organization has, but it also helps gather data that AS can use to properly allocate funding. Unfortunately, due to simple negligence, we did not enforce the AS sign-in form at the event, which is why our organization’s personal sign-in data is 15 people and does not match the AS sign-in data. With the onboarding of a new board, different processes and policies got lost during the training process. However, that is not an excuse for not following policies and protocols, which is why we are properly training our logistics team. We are holding a meeting to go over AS funding programming and operating policies and create a plan of action when we apply for funding so that we can have accurate data.

We would like to include our advertisement on board members' personal social media accounts, other STEM related organizations, and newsletters.
