WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OR GOAL OF THE EVENT?
The purpose of the event was t connect new students in bioinformatics or related fields such as biology and computer science with returning students who could act as their mentors and provide major-specific advice on activities including class planning and research.

DO YOU CONSIDER THE EVENT TO HAVE BEEN A SUCCESS? WHY OR WHY NOT?
Yes, as we were able to get a significant amount of attendees and everything ran quite smoothly, with all the items being retrieved in a timely fashion.

WHAT WOULD YOU DESCRIBE AS YOUR MOST VALUABLE RESOURCE?
Our most valuable resource was likely our mentor-mentee committee that planned the event, as they were in charge of making sure everything ran smoothly, which they excelled at.

No complications arose.

WHAT STEPS OR ITEMS WOULD YOU IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT EVENT?
We would likely try to advertise better in classes with a large number of first-years, since this event was mainly targeted towards providing incoming students with mentorship opportunities.

We would probably begin online advertisement of the event even earlier so that we can continue to further boost our attendance
