IF THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN THE ESTIMATED AND ACTUAL ATTENDANCE NUMBERS, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY YOU THINK THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE. HOW CAN YOU DECREASE THE DIFFERENCE IN ATTENDANCE NUMBERS FOR FUTURE EVENTS? There was a small difference in the estimated and actual attendance. We believe this is due to the high stress time at which this event is taking place, week 7 is usually exam/midterm week for many students. Thus we believe due to the nature of the quarter schedule we had a lower attendance.

WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OR GOAL OF THE EVENT?
Help provide insight to members of the UBIC community. The professor's work involves parameterizing temporal complexity in physiological signals, development of analysis/ML pipelines on timeseries data for disease detection, and network/causal modeling of multimodal data that break assumptions of statistical independence.

Yes, our students were engaged and the speaker was also great!
