Unfortunately, there was a pretty big difference compared to previous years. I think the difference between this year's and previous year's was all the trouble we had in winter quarter getting quality events due to logistical and financial setbacks. There were over a 100 people there but we definitely could've had more people.

The goal of this event was to introduce the events ACM had for the quarter in addition to promoting the competitions we'll be having this quarter. Another main function was to promote board applications and provide people with a space to meet other people in computing.
I think it was a partial success--a lot of logistical things went much better than previous kickoffs, but due to lower attendance not enough people were there to enjoy it :(

Definitely just make sure we're marketing a little more formally (see below) and increase overall quality of events so people are encouraged to come.
More serious marketing, we tried a lot of reels and funny advertisements but focusing on different niches would've helped the event seem more helpful to prospective ACM members.
