Chollas-Mead Elementary UCSD On-Campus Tour
10
We had less attendance expected than usual since we were not awarding points for on-campus tours like we usually do in our org. It being Week 8 also likely contributed to less participation. In the future, we can schedule our tours to avoid busier weeks of the quarter and ensure that we offer points for volunteering.

We utilized the Parent’s Fund for transportation costs (buses) for the elementary schoolers to and from Chollas Mead.
The goal of the event was to inspire underserved, younger students to pursue college in the future and expose them to engineering opportunities at UCSD.
Yes! We visited two other orgs on campus - Project in a Box and Video Game Development Club - who both created great presentations and hands-on activities for the kids to interact with. The kids were eager to ask questions about UCSD and engineering to our org officers (tour leads) and excited about the projects on display.
It might? People were spread across groups when asked to do the forms, and some people might have not filled out the form because they weren't recieving pizza. But we did our best to enforce everyone to sign the AS form.
We had no complications.
Next time, we should allot more time for the orgs we visited. When touring with elementary schoolers, we can almost guarantee that there will be some delay somewhere, and we should account for that when planning out routes.
No changes.
No, the application process was easy.
