IF THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN THE ESTIMATED AND ACTUAL ATTENDANCE NUMBERS, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY YOU THINK THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE. HOW CAN YOU DECREASE THE DIFFERENCE IN ATTENDANCE NUMBERS FOR FUTURE EVENTS? We had low expectations going into this event since we were forced to shift the event from Week 0 to Week 1, assuming that there would be less interest in the event. Also, we knew that the attendance form would not be filled out by all attendees so we tried to keep a solid estimate of submissions.

WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OR GOAL OF THE EVENT?
The purpose of the event was to hold a showcase event for student DJs to play in front of other students, along with providing entertainment and programming for students at the beginning of the school year.

DO YOU CONSIDER THE EVENT TO HAVE BEEN A SUCCESS? WHY OR WHY NOT?
The event was a success as we vastly improved upon our attendance form submissions from last year's Sun God Afterdark, along with having a good crowd and attendance despite the shift in timing for this event. Lots of students had fun at this event and the posts for these had the most attention we've seen from any DVC event.

DID ATTENDANCE DIFFER FROM WHAT WAS RECORDED ON A.S ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION? IF SO, WHY?
Attendance differed from what was recorded on the AS attendance form since about two-thirds of the way through the event, security stopped pushing students to move to our check-in tent, allowing them to enter the event without filling out the AS attendance form.

WHAT IF ANY COMPLICATIONS AROSE DURING THE EVENT?
There weren't any complications during the event outside of security beginning to let students into the event without filling out the AS attendance form.

WHAT STEPS OR ITEMS WOULD YOU IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT EVENT?
We needed to have wristbands to ensure that students filled out the AS attendance form, and we need security to really try to focus on checking for wristbands (unless a valid security concern arises). We also needed to include lightsticks into our expected budget, as we did not include those in the first place and had to use our own funds for them.

WHAT ONLINE CHANGES WOULD YOU MAKE TO ADVERTISEMENTS OR PROMOTION?
N/A, Instagram and word of mouth did amazing for this event. The only change we could have done was post about this event sooner.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FEEDBACK FOR US ON THE A.S. FUNDING APPLICATION/PROCESS? HOW CAN WE BETTER SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR ORGANIZATION?
N/A, the process was very smooth! We would love to learn more about funding appeals for extended budgets though, as we may look into this for future events in the school year.
