Pre-Professional Panel

Open Details

Note: ESTIMATED # NOT ACTUAL. Some people came in the middle of the event when check-in wasn't as heavily enforced thus some numbers may be missing, another thing is that the timing may have been poor for certain majors as midterms, assignments, and lectures could be heavily conflicted with the event time. Prioritizing the event to be earlier in the quarter before midterms and at better times will likely boost the attendence.

This event is a pre-professional panel, where we host a panel with industry professionals of various disciplines to talk about their experience in the video game industry. This directly supports our goal of supporting our members' careers in game development both through giving them advice and insight into the industry and creating connections to help them build their careers.

Yes because the panel itself and panelists were incredible, it was very insightful and probably the most useful advice we've ever received in a panel before!

Potentially due to people coming in late/during the event when check-in wasn't as enforced

The mics provided to us from CSE were not good and many were not functioning. Because of this, it heavily impacted our ability to record the audio of the panelists and a mic needed to be passed around.

Take better preparation for the streaming aspect of the event, but more importantly source out better mics which are integral to a successful panel.

Potentially trying out other social media such as Reddit

Hoping we can look at the attendance numbers ourselves soon so that we no longer need to bother the AVP as they are already swamped with many duties.
