ACM Cafe: Diwali Edition
42
Unfortunately the room we wanted to use was only available after 7 PM, which is pretty late for commuters or any off-campus students. Additionally, this was held right after Veteran's day, so students might have gone home for the weekend/holiday. There was an issue with the room and we weren't able to open it initially, so setting up got a little delayed, including setting up our check in table. Thus, some students at teh beginning weren't able to check in. - We can decrease the difference in the future by filling out the TAP earlier, and hosting it the same week as the actual Diwali celebration (instead of a week after). Additonally, it would be better if we could get a room booking for earlier in the day, so more students could come.

Celebrating the Indian festival of lights with the ACM Community. We wanted to make sure Indian members of the ACM community had a space to celebrate this holiday, and be able to share the festival with other members of the community as well.
It was successful! People had a lot of fun painting diyas and eating Indian food, and they appreciated having a space to celebrate this holiday, since many of them coudln't celebrate with their families.
We had issues with getting into the room we booked, since our IDs didn't work to open it. The event hosts had commitments until the event started, so it was difficult for them to leave enough time for set up, which made the process of getting into the room more rushed.
Outline the set up process more carefully, adn if the event hosts are busy, try to see if someone else could get access to the room and enter to set up.
None.
