There was not much difference between the estimated and actual attendance, and most of the food was consumed. The discrepancy likely comes from brief drop-ins not captured by our portal as not all of the attendees were able to access the QR code to our internal portal. They should all have filled out the AS form though.

The goal of the event was to introduce students to Linux in a beginner-friendly way, explain different methods of running or installing Linux, and give attendees hands-on experience with essential commands and distributions.

Yes, the event was a success. Attendees were engaged, asked questions during and after the workshop, and several students approached me afterward with deeper questions about Linux and ricing.

A complication arose with audio output—there was no way for me to connect to the room speakers. This may have been affected by using a Linux laptop, which can sometimes have compatibility quirks with certain AV setups.

For the next event, I would expand the section on ricing and customization, since several attendees expressed interest. I would also portion out the food more carefully so that attendees who arrived later could still get enough.

I would likely keep the online promotion the same. Considering the event took place during Thanksgiving break week, the turnout was strong, so I don’t see a need for major changes.
