IF THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN THE ESTIMATED AND ACTUAL ATTENDANCE NUMBERS, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY YOU THINK THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE. HOW CAN YOU DECREASE THE DIFFERENCE IN ATTENDANCE NUMBERS FOR FUTURE EVENTS? Yes, there were large miscommunications in terms of advertising the event and closing the RSVP. The RSVP ended up being closed too early, and then advertising turned students away because they were unable to RSVP.

WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OR GOAL OF THE EVENT?
To expose students to careers in BioTech and allow them to network and hear the real experiences of professionals in the field.

DO YOU CONSIDER THE EVENT TO HAVE BEEN A SUCCESS? WHY OR WHY NOT?
Several students came up to us after and told us it was deeply meaningful and informative, so in that aspect, it was a success, however the low attendance means that we could have reached so many more students,

I don’t think it largely did.

WHAT IF ANY COMPLICATIONS AROSE DURING THE EVENT?
No complications, only a lower attendance than expected.

WHAT STEPS OR ITEMS WOULD YOU IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT EVENT?
We would keep the RSVP open for a much longer time, and allow time for advertising/chalk boarding to reach students who could really benefit from this event.

WHAT ONLINE CHANGES WOULD YOU MAKE TO ADVERTISEMENTS OR PROMOTION?
Promote it on social media much earlier, as well as our club newsletter.
