Medical Innovation Conference
175
We had 275 RSVPs, but many students suspected that they needed to attend the full 6-hour event and so didn't think they could show up "late" - in the future, we would make it clearer that attendees wouldn't have to stay the whole session.

Institute of Medicine in Engineering (Covered Transportation/Parking for Presenters)
The goal of the event was to showcase the breadth of opportunities available to undergraduates pursuing careers in the medical and biomedical field through panels, keynote talks, and industry demonstrations.
Although we didn't see as high attendance as expected, we saw about 50 more students attend compared with previous years, and there were times during the event where all seats were taken, which hasn't happened for this event in recent history. This is a success to us. Moreover, attendees were actively engaged with our presenters and seemed to enjoy listening to them. We also had almost no leftover food, which is indicative of success.
We had 12 presenters who were in attendance throughout the event but didn't sign in through AS as they weren't students.
Nothing comes to mind - the event was quite smooth-sailing.
Our industry demonstrations section had the lowest attendance due to being so late in the event and having not as many presenters as we originally hoped for - we would probably shorten the event a bit to prevent out-trickling. We would also clarify that all-day attendance is not mandatory for attendees. We might consider choosing a more diverse-diet-friendly catering option that requires less prep on our part.
We would consider reaching out to other med-related student-orgs on campus to partner with them on advertising and perhaps even with the event itself. We also would consider starting our advertising campaign a week earlier in advance than we did, and clarify on advertisements that attendance is not mandatory for the entire day.
Nothing comes to mind.
