ECHO Winter Quarter GBM #2
28
Attendance was lower than previous GBMs, which have typically had around 50 attendees. The event was held indoors, but it took place at night during rainy weather, which likely discouraged some students from coming. For future events, we could increase early promotion, send multiple reminders, and emphasize the convenience and comfort of indoor events to encourage higher attendance.

The goal of the event was to engage UCSD undergraduate students in a collaborative and educational experience, while fostering community involvement and providing opportunities for learning and networking.
Yes, the event was a success. It included collaborative activities that encouraged student participation, and feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. The event achieved its goal of fostering community and providing a meaningful and engaging experience for students.
We ended up not using any AS funding. We used Triton Community Funds.
The main challenge was rainy nighttime weather, which may have affected turnout, but it did not disrupt the event itself.
For future events, we would increase early promotion and reminders, and consider strategies to boost attendance, such as highlighting the indoor location and comfort during poor weather.
We would increase social media outreach, post visually engaging reminders, and emphasize that the event is indoors and protected from weather to encourage attendance even during rain or nighttime hours.
