Our actual attendance was higher. This was likely because our advertising worked better than expected, as we tabled several days in the week leading up to our event, as well as flyered. Additionally, we had a month long social media campain. In the future, to decrease the difference, we'll make a more accurate estimate of our event attendance.

The purpose of this event was to present Japanese animation and other elements of Japanese culture to a wider audience of undergraduate students at UC San Diego.

We consider the event a success, as our attendance was high, attendees seemed to enjoy the event, and the event brough a niche part of Japanese culture to UCSD students.

As suggested, we did not use the A.S. form to track attendance verification. Attached to this post-evaluation, I will submit our internal registration form with an attendee count. Of our 1,896 attendees, 1,315 were UCSD affiliates.

At some point during the day, West Ballroom was too crowded for people to safely move around. To prevent a potential fire hazard, we limited the people allowed to check in until the crowds let up.

We would account for a potentially higher attendance and have staff members dedicated to crowd control in West Ballroom.

As our online advertisements worked better than expected, we plan to continue our online advertisements in a similar fashion in the future.

There was a brief issue where David, our event manager, was unaware of the A.S. policy of charging non-affiliates. In the future, it would be helpful if university staff and A.S. were on the same page regarding A.S. and university policies.
