I believe the difference in the estimated and actual attendance was a result of delayed advertisement and advertising method, as we primarily promoted the event through our instagram story. To decrease the difference of attendance in the future, we can begin advertising earlier, which would also allow us to primarily advertise using a post rather than an expirable story. We can also print out flyers to display around campus.

The purpose of the event was to inform new and current members about our club purpose, past events, and planned events for this quarter.
The event was somewhat of a success because we were able to fulfill our event purpose, but it the turnout was smaller than we had hoped, so it was not a large success.
Our attendance differed by 1 person as one of our officers who arrived late failed to fill out the attendance verification.
To improve, we should start by planning our event agenda earlier so we can also begin advertising earlier.
I would like to try promoting our event online more, possibly with tiktok/instagram reels challenges to gain more media attraction.
As this was my first time completing the AS funding application process, I think something that would be very helpful is a tutorial video or a "how-to" document that can be referenced with the most important rules and guidelines for requesting funding. I also think having automated notification/email reminders about deadlines would also be very helpful.
