Bit Byte Speedfriending
123
There wasn't a large difference in the estimated and actual attendance numbers. The minor discrepancy might have come from the fact that members who came late didn't have a chance to check-in. It’s also possible that the attendance was slightly lower due to the fact that there was a campus-wide concert event happening during the same day/time.

The purpose of Bit Byte Speedfriending was to be our 2nd Bit-Byte event of the 2024 iteration, in which members got the opportunity to quickly and effectively meet other prospective bits/bytes involved in the program this year. Bits and bytes were paired up in a roughly 3:1 ratio of bytes to bits and with a rotation system, allowing them to connect with other members.
Yes, the event was definitely a success. We had a 3:1 / 2:1 byte to bit ratio during the speedfriending session and the rotation system was able to come all the way around with each byte meeting all of the bits.
AS is definitely our most valuable resource, as we were able to provide boba to all of the members who attended the event. Without funding from AS, we would not be able to provide our participants free drinks
If members came late to the event, we didn't have anyone to direct them to come to the Warren Bear lawn.
In the future, we could ensure that a board member was seated at the room to re-direct late comers to the correct outdoor location.
In terms of online changes to promotion and advertising, we could market the Bit Byte program more on our socials, including Instagram, Tiktok, and our website.
