Circle K International Fall GBM #1
77
The main difference is 3 members and in regards to attendance, near the end of the event many students had left prior to the event end time. I believe this difference was minimal and with the Forum, it represented a large group of students and representative of the full capacity for the Forum. To decrease the difference, I would use a specific RSVP sign in to ensure only 80 students are fully accommodated rather than random attendees.

Kiwanis Club of La Jolla; Club Budget
The purpose of the event is to utilize a large event that is catered to all undergraduates to be knowledgable about our club values, events, and community aspect through our General Body Meeting presentation. Using the funds for Raising Canes allowed for a large attendance for more students to be incentivized to attend our GBM, and learn while they eat about the benefits of our organization.
I do consider the event to be a success since it increased the awareness of our organization's values and focus on service, and allowed for new members to join and meet others in our community.
Our most valuable resource is our parent organization Kiwanis where they provide resources in both financial and professional development in our events that becomes an important factor to our event development and member engagement.
Complications included not enough volunteers to hand out the food, so we had to plan regarding excusing groups of students to get food instead of providing them all at once. We were also unable to provide some details regarding AS funding at the event due to time constraints and attendees leaving early.
To improve for the next event, better logistics to ensure food is given out fairly and distributed evenly throughout attendees, and to promote AS in the beginning along with our sign in.
We would advertise the event earlier online on social media as well as include more information on what our GBM offers and the incentives to attend.
Having a representative either attend the event to ensure funding is used appropriately as well as to take attendance. A.S. has supported us a lot through the years and it would be nice to have an A.S. representative discuss or talk to organizations regarding funding so there is no confusion regarding what funding is used so that programming applications can be more clear and explicit in what funds are used for.
