The event was an alumni panel featuring Muslim professionals in tech. Its purpose was to provide guidance, inspiration, and networking opportunities for Muslim students interested in entering the tech industry by hearing from those who have navigated similar paths.
Yes, the event was a success. Attendees found the alumni panel insightful and appreciated the opportunity to ask questions and hear firsthand experiences from Muslim professionals in tech. The event fostered both inspiration and connection within the community.
Yes, it’s possible that not everyone signed in. Some attendees may have arrived late or missed the sign-in sheet, which could have led to a slight discrepancy in the recorded numbers.
There were no major complications. Minor delays with setup coordination occurred but were quickly resolved and did not significantly impact the event.
For future events, we would improve the RSVP and check-in process to ensure more accurate attendance tracking. We would also start outreach and marketing earlier to maximize engagement and give panelists more time to prepare.
We would promote the event earlier and more frequently across social media platforms. This includes pushing the event out through Instagram stories, posts, and cross-promotion with other student orgs to reach a wider audience.
The A.S. funding process was overall smooth and appreciated. More flexibility with event timelines and quicker reimbursements would also help support student orgs better.
