I think there was some schedule conflicts with some of our officers, so they were not able to attend, bringing the internal number of attendees down. In addition, due to the confusion and having people inside prior to setting up counting the tickets and attendance, a lot of officers were not accounted for as well. As for our attendance from new students, while we marketed the same amount as GBMs prior, the date and time chosen as well as freshmen and transfer students being confused on the location of

This is a key event for the beginning of the school year to showcase what Keyboard Club does and our club values to the student body. Our priority is to create a positive and welcoming experience, particularly for incoming students (freshmen and transfers). Our GBMs have previously had positive reception from the student body and we intended to continue that trend with this event. A.S. funding is needed for the food provided during the event and the marketing that goes towards advertising our event.

I consider this event as a success, as it brought more attention to our club for new people (freshmen and transfers), which was noticeable following our future socials, as they became more active within our community and the events that we had after. However, for our current officers, I think it would be better to have more communication for the attendance counter as well as mandatory attendance to continue the success internally.

Yes attendance was different that what was recorded on A.S. attendance verification, as our tech team was still setting up and dealing with general members, but the officers that were inside setting up for the meeting or creating content for our social media were not aware.

New students were confused how to get to price center theater, and some issues with the microphone at the beginning, but tech was able to solve that before the event started.

For any future GBM's, we will assure that in our marketing we also show where events are, especially a Fall GBM, as a lot of new transfer or freshman students may be interested and know us from library walk but may struggle finding locations. In addition, we would ensure that all our officers are aware of the attendance as well even if busy to ensure accurate attendance is listed with AS.

We would continue to promote the giveaways our club does with our merchandise as well as the free food and decorations/activities we have for our events. In addition, we will try to communicate via social media about how to get to the locations so newer students can know where to go. Lastly, we will continue to promote on our instagram via reels as well as a post to keep people updated.
