I believe the difference occurred due to a CENG class overlapping at the time of the event due to which students couldn't make it. It would be a good idea for our organization to connect with the CNE department and have a schedule of classes ready to avoid overlaps with major classes to maximize our attendance.

The purpose of the event was to have students interact with CENG and NANO faculty and discuss their research aspirations, class advice or general chatting.
The event was a success since all the professors we invited showed up and had a great time with the students. I also received feedback from students after the event and they suggested that they had interesting conversations on research fields and discussed project ideas with the professors.

If any complications related to food or materials would've risen our org members would have gone to target to fulfill those requests, if possible. Complications related to A/V or Technology could be reported to the admin office in SME itself and we had ample access to safety measures in the conference room if in case of an emergency.
We will definitely focus on avoiding overlaps with scheduled classes and ensure a more timely intimation of the event to students. I think having on the ground marketing would also be great for attendance.
