Winter Kickoff

We predicted around 300 people and ended up with around $10 per person with actual costs (although we did end up making our boba order smaller because there was miscommunication with payment). In the future, we’d like to decrease this difference for future events with more marketing through word of mouth and add some more fun events for people to do.

The purpose was to introduce ACM’s events for the winter quarter so members have an overview of what events they could attend. Additionally, this kickoff was to announce the launch of DiamondHacks, our annual hackathon, applications opening.
Yes, we do. I think the attendance was increased from last year, which was one of the major goals. Additionally, most members seemed really engaged with the activities we did have and were able to reach out to our board members about questions they had.
We had issues with payment for both Cali Banh Mi and Tapioca Express because we thought they would be prepaid for.
I think we’ll want to double check our TAP and make sure funding modules are added, especially for bigger events like this one.
I think we’d want to encourage board members to repost the Instagram graphic so people know what’s going on.
