IF THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN THE ESTIMATED AND ACTUAL ATTENDANCE NUMBERS, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY YOU THINK THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE. HOW CAN YOU DECREASE THE DIFFERENCE IN ATTENDANCE NUMBERS FOR FUTURE EVENTS? We got 10 less people than we expected at the event. We believe that this is due to the fact that it was our first time hosting this sort of event, so we did not know what the attendance would look like. But we think that this is a pretty close estimate based on the outcome.

WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OR GOAL OF THE EVENT?
The goal was to show off the projects that HKN and some of the other project organizations on campus have been working on. We invited professors and students to see the projects and vote for their favorite one. We were trying to spread the news about the different project opportunities that are available within HKN and UCSD.

DO YOU CONSIDER THE EVENT TO HAVE BEEN A SUCCESS? WHY OR WHY NOT?
I consider the event to be a success because we were able to get an attendance close to our initial estimate. Also, a lot of the participants and attendees gave positive feedback about the event, where professors and students alike were complimenting our org for a well organized and thoughtful event.

DID ATTENDANCE DIFFER FROM WHAT WAS RECORDED ON A.S ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION? IF SO, WHY?
It may differ a little bit because some people may have forgotten to fill out the AS form despite us meticulously checking to make sure that people signed the form before grabbing food at the event. The actual attendance was at least a dozen people greater than what was recorded.

WHAT IF ANY COMPLICATIONS AROSE DURING THE EVENT?
No complications.

WHAT STEPS OR ITEMS WOULD YOU IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT EVENT?
I would try to order food from a cheaper venue so that we can get more food for the same amount of money spent. That way, we can accomodate more attendees at the event with food and drinks.

WHAT ONLINE CHANGES WOULD YOU MAKE TO ADVERTISEMENTS OR PROMOTION?
None.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FEEDBACK FOR US ON THE A.S. FUNDING APPLICATION/PROCESS? HOW CAN WE BETTER SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR ORGANIZATION?
It would be great if we were given an email for the different steps in the verification process (i.e. not just a request submitted and request accepted/rejected email). For example, giving the orgs a heads up on around when the application will go through or when the application has been started in the verification process. That way, we won't have to scramble for different options of funding or have miscommunications with the vendors last minute.
