Summer Sendoff

Open Details

120
We believe the difference in the actual attendance (120) and expected attendance (140) to be a result of the large abundance of events happening on UC San Diego campus. Still, we believe that we had planned better, this could have been accounted for; by doing more research into concurrently happening events, we could more accurately estimate the expected attendance of our own.

The goal of the event was to finish the year with a showing of how strong the VGDC @ UCSD community had become, as well as give a grand farewell to the club's graduating seniors.

Despite the gap between estimated and actual attendance, we consider the event to have been a success. Attendees reported having an enjoyable time, the event was ran well, and members left feeling like they'd bonded with the community.

The attendance did not differ from what was recorded on A.S. attendance verification.

The issue of the Multipurpose Room's allowed setup time of only one hour always makes for a difficult setup; aside from that, there was another event directly outside of the MPR playing loud music, somewhat disrupting our event.

In the future, we could communicate more with the room booking department on campus about concurrently running events, both nearby and elsewhere on campus.

We would have made more promotional videos on our club's Instagram.

An immediate feedback form available to individual clubs would be good; it becomes difficult to distinguish who has and has not signed in, and it can be difficult to check without coming off as interrogative.
